Acoustic Guitar:  Singer/Songwriter & folk

Originally from Gainesville, GA, Emmy obtained a music education degree from the University of North Georgia. After graduating college, Emmy began a private studio in Gainesville, GA. For the next six years, she built up her studio, held two recitals each year, and began immersing herself in songwriting. In 2014, Emmy won the John Jarrard Foundation songwriting contest, which was judged in part by members of the Zac Brown Band. As part of the contest winnings, she opened onstage for some renowned Nashville songwriters.
Emmy has now been teaching guitar, ukulele, voice, and piano for almost ten years. Since moving to Atlanta in 2016, she has continued to teach and work on her career as a singer-songwriter. She releases music and performs behind the stage name Emmy Law, and is very involved in Atlanta’s local music scene. She frequently plays local venues such as Eddie’s Attic, Red Clay Music Foundry, and Smith’s Olde Bar.
